"Hey Jeff - dig those tracks. We're listening to them right now at the office. Innovative stuff ... kind of quirky & unpredictable (in a good way!). Nice grooves and tricky beats too. "
Jondi Owner of Looq Records / Momu
Hey we like 'Only One' joint. I'm into breaks right now, got Hyper and Terminalhead on the stereo, and you're CD is in there too. Tight.

Comments on Destination Lounge San Francisco
...proving that some eclectic thought went into this comp... "Palmetto" enhances the house theme... ethereal minimalism of "Listen to the Fog"... this is a rich presentation of groovey music.

BREAKSHOP BIO'S
DJ F
2004 marked a huge year for DJ F. His compilation Destination Lounge San Francisco, sold over 5,000 copies in it's first 4 months and features 3 Breakshop Studios tracks. His mixing skills are on display for the Revive disc which is a joyful ride through SF house and breaks.
In 1996 DJ F left Florida with a turntable, 2 saxophones, a crate of
records, and a Bachelor's of Music from the University of Miami. The last 8 years F has been busy building his studio, performing, producing, remixing, and most recently fronting his 5 piece electro-funk band Breakshop. A multi-instrumentalist F plays sax, bass, guitar, keys, hand percussion, turntables, and freaks a little vocals as well.
Highlights of his dj'ing career include spinning with Hybrid, Crystal Method, Deep Dish, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, Meat Katie, Josh Wink, Gus Gus, Supreme Beings of Leisure, David Harness, Behrouz, High Contrast, Ming + FS and Mark Farina. As a horn player he has had the pleasure of playing with SF's finest house djs including Rick Preston, Marques Wyatt, M3, Garth, Jeno and Ellen Ferrato.
In 2003 he created the record label Breakshop Studios with his wife and vocalist Hilary, and they released the full length album Only One that same year. This diverse debut album showcases his broad range of production styles from dark dancefloor breakbeats to lush jazzy grooves.
Currently he is working on remix work with Rick Preston and has been playing horn on a number of tracks to be released later this year.
Breakshop's resident beat mechanic began spinning downtempo grooves and cutting up acid breakbeats while living in Miami in 1993. F spends most of his time writing booty shakin' beats.
HILARY
Hilary is the enticing singer for the Breakshop whose stunning vocals really bring their live shows together. She is the featured vocalist on all of the label's releases, most notably on the recent Listen to the Fog featured on Destination Lounge San Francisco. Hilary began her performing career studying dance at UCLA. She joined Superbooty as a vocalist over 6 years ago, and since then has been playing to huge audiences all over the Bay Area, holding down the funk from Bimbo's 365 Club to the legendary Filmore. Superbooty has opened for huge talent such as Kool & the Gang, P-Funk, Digital Underground, Ohio Players, and Morris Day. Hilary met DJ F (who plays horn for the band) at the SF Funk festival while the band was opening for George Clinton. Little did anyone know that they would fall madly in love with each other and get married!
BREAKSHOP (The Band)
Tired of "live" shows consisting of two geezers pushing buttons on their samplers DJ F built this funk band to perform his original compositions out in the club. Formed in late 2003 the group has now solidified its lineup to include Alex DeCarville on drums, Bryan Dean on bass, Ben Prince on keys, Hilary on vocals, and DJ F on sax and scratches. So far the band has performed new material at every show keeping the audience coming back for more of their unique sound.
